Signs of Autism

Often parents watch their child and question some of the things that they do. They wonder if their child’s behavior suggests a developmental problem or if it is just a normal part of development. One or two or a few signs of autism does not mean that a child has autism. Even looking at the diagnostic criteria can be confusing. Here, I will go over the DSM IV criteria and describe some characteristic signs of autism that may suggest concern.
